Meet Kelly
“Moved to Maui at 22 years old with one suitcase & a dream. Never left.”
In February of 2004, I moved to Maui from Madison, Wisconsin. It was three weeks before my 23rd birthday, with one suitcase, one carry-on& a dream I'd been carrying since I was nine years old.
When I landed, I knew exactly one person on island - but I did have a job lined up working on a charter boat. With my small savings and an eager work ethic, I bought my first "Maui Cruiser," found a one-bedroom condo near the beach and slowly but surely, things started falling into place.
Somewhere between swimming with my first manta ray, hiking inside Haleakalā crater and having my first "pau hana" on the beach at sunset — this island stopped being a place I lived and became home.
These days, I split my time between working "holoholo" sail trips with my husband, crafting up delicious meals, taking our two "poi dogs" on their daily walks through the neighborhood and — of course — showing people homes in areas I know block by block.
I'm also doing the things that actually make life here good: going to the beach, hitting a trail, showing up to the weekly farmers market and meeting friends at sunset at our local brewery.
This site is where I put all of it — the local spots, the recipes, the real estate questions I get asked constantly and everything in between.
What I Do
I've been a licensed real estate agent in Hawaii since 2012 and I’ve been with Compass since 2023 … but honestly, that's only part of it.
I'm also the person my friends text when they know someone who’s coming to Maui to visit for the first time, or if they need a good dinner recommendation, or they need a contractor referral, or they want to know the truth about what a neighborhood is actually like to live in.
Here you'll find both sides: honest, no-pressure guidance if you're either buying or selling on Maui … AND the local knowledge I'd share with you over coffee anyway!
Let’s Talk Story!
Whether you've got a question about buying or selling on Maui, or you just want the inside scoop on where to eat this weekend — reach out. I answer everything myself.
